Everyday Miracles.

How I wish I would have brought my camera to the playground today. I could have gotten a picture that would have been a beautiful piece of evidence that miracles do exist in this world.

It was a miracle in the clouds that touched my heart with a happiness and warmth that are beyond belief. It happened just after I took my children to the playground. I had settled down in a nice shady spot to watch my youngest swing, laugh, and play.

I felt so at peace just sitting there. I could feel God's oneness all around me. It made me think about how I am just a small part of this glorious universe and about what my purpose is in it. Just then I looked up at the clouds and saw it. A small patch of three fluffy clouds had floated away from the rest. Each one formed a letter.

The first was a J, the second an O and the third a Y. The word JOY was floating above me as plain as day.

God couldn't have given me a better reminder of my purpose. I am here to choose and share joy and to show others that they can do the same.

Now many people don't believe in miracles. I know some that would have dismissed those clouds as just random shapes. Even if I had gotten my picture they would have said it was only a coincidence. I, however, will always believe in miracles. My words in the clouds is only one of hundreds of everyday miracles I have seen.

Often I get letters from people saying that they had just read an article of mine and that it was exactly what they needed to hear at that moment in their lives. It wasn't me, of course, who made sure they read those words at that time. It was God guiding me to write what I did and it was God guiding them to read it. God works miracles through us all.

Open your heart to miracles. Just like love, joy, and God's goodness they are all around us. Life is full of everyday miracles if we are only willing to see them.
